Legally, when an individual wants to buy a firearm through the mail, they must have it shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. First, choose a local gun dealer or other FFL holder in your area and get their permission to have a firearm shipped to them from Lavish Armament. Once the firearm is received by your chosen FFL, They would then do the background check, etc and transfer the firearm to you in return for a small transfer fee.
IMPORTANT: It’s the customer’s responsibility to check, prior to placing your order, to ensure the product you are ordering meets all local, state and federal laws for your area.
Purchasing a gun online can be accomplished in a few easy steps.
First: Choose your firearm and add them to your cart just like any other eCommerce store.
Second: Choose your FFL. Lavish Armament features an easy search function to find your preferred FFL. Our database has many FFLs so you’re likely to find your favorite local dealer. If your preferred FFL is not already in our system, please contact them to send a copy of their FFL to ffl@lavisharmament.com and let them know your firearm is on the way from us.
Third: Enter payment information and checkout. You will receive a confirmation email and the tracking information for the shipping. Note: If ordering a firearm and accessories together, just know that there will be two separate shipping charges. We have to ship your firearm to your chosen FFL and your accessories get shipped directly to you.
Final: Once you are notified by the shipping carrier that your firearm has arrived, call the FFL to confirm. After you arrive at the FFL, you will complete the following process:
- You will fill out the ATF Form 4473 in its entirety.
- The FFL conducts an instant background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) with the FBI.
- Once you pass the background check, you pay the FFL’s transfer fee and take possession of your new firearm.

You must be at least 21 years old to purchase ammo from us. There can be grey areas regarding what is considered handgun ammo and what is considered long gun ammo. For that reason, we lean on the side of caution and will only sell ammo to those above the age of 21. When placing your order, you will be asked to make a statement of your date of birth and that you are complying with all applicable laws.

We would love to be able to accept PayPal and Apple Pay but those companies’ policies do not allow for purchases involving firearms, ammunition and certain firearms accessories. Because of that we are restricted from offering those two payment options. Hopefully the policies at those companies will change in the future.
Your credit card will be charged at the same time you place your order (not when the order ships). If this is an issue for you, please do not place an order with us and we do apologize.

FFL stands for “Federal Firearms License”. This is issued by the BATF to those who deal in firearms and it is illegal to deal in firearms without a FFL.
Have your FFL email us a copy of their FFL to ffl@lavisharmament.com.
- Purchase your NFA item on LavishArmament.com and confirm your preferred dealer (FFL/SOT). You MUST make sure the dealer you select is licensed to handle NFA items.
- Once your dealer receives your NFA item(s) through the Form 3, they will notify you and assist you with filling out your Efile Form 4. It will help if you get a digital passport photo and digital finger print file (.eft) before you see your dealer. Approval times vary.
- Once your Form 4 is approved, you can pick your NFA item up from your dealer. Congrats!
Typically, you can expect your order to ship within 5 business days. Upper receivers may take up to 15 business days to ship out. Serialized items (firearms, lower receivers, etc.) may take 7-10 business days to ship out; please verify that Lavish Armament has a copy of the FFL from your dealer (send to FFL@lavisharmament.com). During the holiday and peak seasons shipping times will vary due to the high order volume. We do work very hard to get your order out to you, and apologize if there is a delay with it. Let our Customer Service Department know if your order has passed the above ship time, and they will have your order sent to our Shipping Department to investigate the reason for the delay.
No, we are not able to edit an order after it has been placed. You can either place a separate order, or we can cancel your current order, so you can reorder the item(s) you want. To cancel your order, please use our contact form for the fastest response.
No, we are not able to combine your orders.
Yes! 99% of the time if an item says “In stock”, it means we have them in stock. There can be a situation where the warehouse makes a mistake and doesn’t update the availability. You can always call us and verify before you order but it’s not necessary.
